• review safety; take the safety quiz; sign the safety agreement

• receive a beast of a textbook

• hear the introductory lecture including the memorization items

• time permitting: begin the "which carbonate do you have???" lab

• homework: study for the memorization quiz next class

• get safety contract signed by parents

• watch the into to chemistry videos on the class website
